BP Oil Disaster dragging on...

"Justice Department expects it may sue BP"

New York (CNN) -- The Justice Department says it may sue BP for damages from the Deepwater Horizon oil spill, according to a filing made Monday night with the U.S. District Court in New Orleans, Louisiana

This topic just never seems to go away!  They finally capped the oil leak but now they want even more money.  Currently BP has paid the U.S. Government $390 million for the cost of the clean up. Will we ever get this situation resolved?

Border patrol Law's and Regulations

On May 28, 1924, Congress passed the Department of Labor Appropriation Act, which provided the funding for the establishment of a border patrol on the border of Mexico.... Necessary?? Yes, in my opinion it is.  The United States is hurting badly enough financially.  The biggest problem I feel with this is the fact that these individuals are smuggling drugs across the border and selling them in the States.  This is the reason why we protect that wall that stands between us and Mexico.

Border Patrols

Over the past several months, United States border patrol has been a hot topic in congress.  This is the prevention of the illegal entry of aliens and smuggling of illegal contraband into the United States.  Some of you may have seen the show "Border Wars".  This show gives a real life look at what really happens on a day to day basis on the border.  This is a twenty-four hour job for these patrol guards trying to ensure the safety of American's.  We can look at history at what it was like for people in a certain time period, but this is something that is going on as we speak, and has been an ongoing problem for American people.
